View From My Soap Box
I love photographing people whether on the streets (candid or with permission), or in studio settings such as this photo. I find that even when subjects try to conjure their on-camera persona, a sliver of their self slips out. I like to shoot in between those moments of concealment. These days I find myself looking for something a little more real - something more tangible than the typical disingenuous smile that surfaces before a camera lens.
